frequently asked questions
Q.
Do I need a life coach or a therapist?
A.
-
If you’re struggling to function or feeling emotionally overwhelmed, a therapist is the best place to start.
-
If you’re generally okay but feel stressed, reactive, stuck, or unsure how to handle what is happening in your life right now, coaching with hypnotherapy offers practical, present-focused support.
Q.
How do you differ from a psychologist?
A.
Like a psychologist, I ask questions about your history to understand your values and beliefs.
As a coach, however, my focus is on:
-
Identifying strengths and barriers
-
Creating realistic steps and practices
-
Supporting forward momentum and desired outcomes
I use hypnotherapy to plant supportive subconscious “seeds” that enhance the coaching process. Clients leave sessions with clear tools, next steps, and fresh perspective that support their whole well-being.
Q.
Do I need to be ready or motivated to work with you?
A.
The most important thing is your openness to change. You don't need to have everything figured out—just a willingness to explore, take small steps, and learn. I'll help guide and support you throughout.
Q.
Can you help me stop smoking, shed weight, drink less, or think more positively?
A.
Yes—absolutely! If you're ready to take better care of yourself, I can guide you. I love seeing clients uncover their inner strength and self-compassion—and feel so much better about themselves.
Q.
How long does it take to see results?
A.
Everyone's journey is unique. Many clients notice subtle shifts after just one session. With consistent work, these changes deepen and become long-lasting, helping you feel and be more self-trusting, and peaceful.
Q.
How many sessions will I need?
A.
Many clients feel a positive shift after the initial 1.5-hour session.
From there, it’s entirely up to you. I typically recommend:
-
A minimum of 3 sessions
-
Optional weekly support
-
Or monthly check-ins
Everyone moves at their own pace.
Q.
How is hypnotherapy different from coaching?
A.
Hypnotherapy works directly with your subconscious mind to release limiting beliefs and create lasting change. While coaching focuses on conscious awareness with here and now planning, hypnotherapy helps you make deep, automatic shifts that support your goals effortlessly.
Q.
Will I lose control during hypnosis?
A.
No. You are always in control.
Hypnosis is optional and simply allows you to deeply relax and set aside your inner critic. Using imagery, metaphors, and gentle suggestions, clients often report feeling calm, refreshed, and empowered—both afterward and moving forward.
Q. HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL I NEED?
Q.
Can I do life coaching without hypnotherapy?
A.
Absolutely. Our work together is always a collaboration.
Life coaching alone is a powerful way to create change. Hypnotherapy is used only as a supplement, to help align the subconscious mind with new beliefs and habits.
You decide. If you choose not to use hypnotherapy, I won’t use it.
Still not sure is coaching or hypnotherapy is right for you?
That's completely okay. Sounds like we need to talk before making a commitment. A 15-minute clarity call gives you the opportunity to ask questions, share what's going on, and see if working together feels like a good fit.
